Financials Techno-Functional Consultant

PeopleSoft Techno-Functional Consultant required to influence and optimise a large-scale CODA to PeopleSoft Financials data migration. My client requires an assertive and lateral-thinking individual who can help to ensure that the migration is carried out in the best possible manner. Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Reporting directly to the Financial Director and the IT Programmes and Development Manager.
• Overseeing the migration of data (open items from AP and AR, and customer data) from CODA to PeopleSoft Financials 9.
• Challenging and validating the technical and functional methodologies of the data migration team.
• Challenging and validating the current and proposed accounting practices with reference to the relationship between them and the data.

The successful candidate will have a proven history of influencing large-scale PeopleSoft Financials projects in such a way that adds real value to the customer’s PeopleSoft instance by optimising functionality. On the way to this goal you will have exceeded the following standards:

• Have an intimate knowledge of the relationship between a PeopleSoft Financials instance and the accounts department in which it sits.
• Have a deep knowledge, not just of the technical and functional aspects of a migration to PeopleSoft, but of the complex interplay between the two.
• Exercise lateral, long-sighted and full life cycle thinking to visualise the optimum solution.
• Have an assertive and confident manner coupled with excellent communication skills in order to implement the route to that solution.

This role is offered at a generous daily rate of £500 - £600 depending on experience. It also offers the opportunity for exposure to one of the largest PeopleSoft users in the world, opening the door to similar and more senior roles in their ongoing programme of PeopleSoft-related projects.
