This leading Financial and Market Data software vendor has a presence across all of the tier 1 international banks. Operating from their ultra modern Head Quarters in the City, this graduate programme will given first hand exposure to programming and business analysis. The role will suit a strong programmer of the following- Graduate, Java, C#, and C++ or C #
You should have a good degree in a computer/IT related subject. Alternatively, you will have studied for a Mathematics or Physics degree and have written part of it with UNIX.
The Graduate Analyst Programmer will initially work as part of a team to deliver technical solutions and software upgrades to our Enterprise clients. This encompasses designing, building, implementing and testing the appropriate solution. Following an initial training period the role will additionally be responsible for liaising with Fidessa clients to understand their functional requirements.
This is predominantly a client facing role and can require the role holder to work from our London/Woking offices or our client's offices as appropriate. The role requires flexibility for overseas travel for project work across the EMEA region and flexibility to work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends- Graduate, Java, C#, and C++ or C #
Essential: Graduate, Java, C#, C++ or C #
Programming experience; preferably in one or more of Java, C++, C# or C. Candidates must be able to read, understand and manipulate existing code and/or develop new software where required.
Knowledge of the fundamentals of computer programming
Degree qualified in an IT/numerate discipline (or equivalent)
Confident and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand client integration requirements and how they can be supported by our systems
Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships, both with customers and internal business groups
Calmness under pressure and ability to maintain good humour
Strong analytical skills combined with a structured methodical and hands-on approach
Good attention to detail, highly organised, flexible and enjoys pace
Takes ownership of delegated tasks and sees things through to completion
This is a client facing role and as such, personal presentation is highly important
Desirable: Graduate, Java, C#, and C++ or C #
Demonstrable interest in the Financial Markets
1st or 2nd line support experience
Experience implementing software in a client facing IT role
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
