Project managers function as coordinators in the planning, implementation and scheduling control of projects. They are responsible for managing multiple projects from development through to successful completion. The nature of their projects varies depending on the industry and the company they work within.

Their many responsibilities include project plan development, scope planning, project communications, managing project resources, time management, identifying risks, managing changes in scope, cost/budget management, quality assurance, performance reporting and evaluation. They constantly strive to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget, and often work within tight timelines.

Some qualifications required for project manager jobs include:

• extensive experience as an analyst

Project managers may also require specific technical knowledge depending on the nature of the projects they manage and how hands-on their role is.
