Modis joined forces with the client's sales force automation team to assist in the implementation of state-of-the-art software. Modis' team provided the set-up and support of hardware and software, and provided training in the sales force automation software for the sales team. Modis provided team leaders and onsite supervision, and worked very closely with the client's managers and directors to ensure proper communication and success.

Modis has the exclusive tier 3 support responsibility for the sales force automation group. Client approval rating is 93%. In this role Modis continues to maintain the inventory, install software, and facilitate the shipment of PC's throughout the world to the client's sales team. Modis also continues to provide technical support and training to the sales teams of this client.

Client Overview: Major Chemical Manufacturer

A major chemical manufacturer, committed to Total Quality Management and continuous improvement, produces product internationally following the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The company was devoting excessive resources to gather, transform, and distribute bio-pharmaceutical and sales & marketing information.

The company was investing too much time and effort to collect and manage product information, and to respond to customer requests for information. A coordinated and efficient method of capturing, storing, and maintaining product specification information was required. Accessibility of sales & marketing data was also a weakness. Inquiries and reports were severely limited, and the company needed to improve their ad-hoc analytical capabilities. Redundant and conflicting information needed to be eliminated. A central enterprise repository with state-of-the-art retrieval and analytical tools was required.

Modis provided a phased approach to plan and implement an enterprise data warehouse with subject-area data marts. The first phase addressed the bio-pharm area, and now provides capabilities to collect and report on information in a manner not previously possible. The second phase, the sales & marketing data mart, has also been successfully implemented. Industry standard tools and methodologies were used, providing a stable and scalable solution. The Modis project methodology was followed, including regular project planning and status meetings. The system is now fully operational, and is providing information and analytical capabilities not previously possible, including Web access and ad-hoc analyses.

The implementation of the first phase improved the company's ability to collect and document product specifications, including catalog preparation. The system now allows the company to gather, analyse, and report on product and manufacturing data previously housed in multiple systems and formats. The quality assurance and customer service groups now have improved tools to support their efforts. The second phase, sales & marketing, allows the analysis and reporting of company performance at multiple levels, including tracking key performance indicators. The business community is now able to tie product information from customers and sales back through the complete supply chain.
