Client Overview: A World Leading Missile Systems Company
MBD.A is a major defence client of Modis engineering services and has been for over 7 years. We are one of the selected few collaborative suppliers which means we can supply both contract and permanent staff to their sites in Filton, Lostock and Stevenage.
We also carry out tasking contract work for them in the form of PCB design work and software design projects.
Modis currently is the preferred supplier for both contract and permanent staffing requirements and tasking contracts plus PCB Design Off load project. We currently have contractors working at the Bristol and Stevenage sites having the full spectrum of engineering skills — specifically systems engineers, mathematical modellers, software engineers, electronic design engineers, technicians, and test engineers. Our proximity to them in Filton (Bristol) and Stevenage means that we are always on hand to provide advice and assistance when called upon.
Client Overview: Multinational Military Organisation
We are the proud possessor of a NATO BOA (Basic Ordering Agreement). The BOA is a licence to trade with NATO, the biggest and most powerful multinational military organisation in the world. If a company wants to trade with NATO it has to have a BOA. Similarly, all trade from NATO has to go through companies holding BOAs and they are few and far between. We hold one of only about 30 NATO BOAs worldwide.
Relevant industry sectors in which we specialise include: aerospace, communication, defence, transport and electronics. Technical disciplines include project engineers and managers, IT and systems engineers and communication engineers, who provide project support and task management services. Our extensive database offers a very wide range of skills and we have technical back-up capability.
The company has a security officer based at our Stevenage office, who is authorised to carry out security clearance duties. We are a company authorised to hold and process protectively marked material and have security cleared staff for a number of clients. We supply staff with appropriate security clearance, manage projects, manage technical infrastructure and provide consultancy services for the MoD, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy, NATO and DSTL/Qinetiq. Furthermore, our Stevenage office is security cleared, should clients wish to use our facilities for interviews, or meetings.
