Modis has provided Europe's leader in air traffic management with technical assistance for over 20 years. This has included providing software engineers, analyst programmers, testing and integration engineers, principle analysts, database/systems administrators and network engineers with expertise across a broad range of skills. Modis is represented by a large number of consultants and skills at any one time and during the past decade, several of our consultants have joined the company as permanent staff and have risen to responsible levels within the organisation.

Since 1996 Modis has enjoyed a preferred supplier agreement with the experimental centre of this company, whose main activity is the provision of real-time simulation platforms for simulation, experimentation and operational evaluation for countries around the world and for internal or EU sponsored projects. We have also had a similar agreement since 1998 with the CFMU division (Central Flow Management Unit), which is responsible for implementing actions to improve the coordination of air traffic control systems throughout Europe, and to carry out research and development work, aimed at increasing air traffic control capacity in Europe. Modis has a framework agreement in place to support EATMP (European Air Traffic Management Programme) also at the organisation's HQ.

Modis Europe Ltd is currently providing IT & Engineering contract Staff under five different Support Contracts within Estec.

Modis personnel work within the Electrical Engineering Division providing specialised engineering support to following programs:

• Ground System Projects

ESA/ESTEC TEC-E directorate

At the present time we have numerous consultants providing expertise within the TEC-E directorate.

The tasks undertaken are specialist support in specific technical areas, including:

• Payload Systems
• Electromagnetic
• Mathematics and Software
• Power and Control Data
• Computer Analysis and Simulation
• Operation and Maintenance of Laboratory Facilities

ESA/ESTEC TEC-Q directorate

Modis Europe Ltd has provided specialised engineering staff to TEC-Q for over twenty years. At the moment Modis leads a consortium providing numerous consultants working in TEC-Q.

These consultants work in TEC-QC & QM (Components & Materials Division). TEC-QC is responsible for the procurement, engineering, quality assurance and standardisation of Electrical, Electro-mechanical and Electronic (EEE) components.
TEC-QM is responsible for the testing of all materials used in the space projects.

ESA/ESTEC - Additional Support

Modis also supply high-level IT and non-IT staff in the following areas:

• Working within the D-TEC Division supplying informatics and financial admin support. -Working within the main IT Division.
• Skilled IT buyers providing support to the purchase office.
• Medical expertise working within MSM (Manned space mission)

Modis Europe Ltd has provided specialist contract staff to EUMETSAT for more than 6 years we have provided a number of consultants of different types of profile to support both the EPS and MSG programmes at EUMETSAT.

• Oracle DBA and Unix Systems Engineer – Operations

TNO-TPD is part of TNO which is the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research, the largest independent research institute in the Netherlands. TNO-TPD is the Institute of Applied Physics and is one of the 14 institutions in the Netherlands for applied Scientific Research.
They carry out numerous assignments for thier customers. TNO-TPD develop knowledge within projects and is an active partner within collaborative ventures between universities and technology institutes.

Modis have placed in the Space Department of TNO-TPD and carried out Quality Assurance Management within the Space Instrumentation and Optics Division and also in the Optics department, carrying out work for thin film optical coatings, and finally within the Lithography Department, providing expertise in Vacuum Technology.

Modis has provided a range of specialist staff to Astrium for over 8 years and currently have a preferred supplier agreement in place for their permanent staffing solutions.

We supply specialist staff in the following areas:

• Test technicians
• Administrators, to help provide support for major programs such as Skynet, Hotbird, Arianne, Spelda, etc.

Modis consultants have also been seconded to Tolouse and the launch facility in French Guyana.
